The combination of knowledge on the organoleptic qualities of produce and an increasingly developed know-how enabled PND, a leading company in the manufacture of fruit processing machinery, to design PEARL6, a brand new pear peeling machine. FreshPlaza has talked about it with Virginia Cascella, sector expert and export manager for the company.<\/p>\n

“PND works mainly with exports, which represent 95% of the total turnover. We have just installed the second PEARL6 in the manual version in Greece. The client, who boasts extensive experience in the sector, is very pleased with it.”<\/p>\n

PEARL6 is a machine dedicated to pear peeling manufactured according to directive 2006\/42\/EEC. It boasts multiple advantages: it is easy to use, with reduced maintenance costs and swift sanitization.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

“It is a truly unique solution: the peeling, coring and cutting machine features six heads that can process 72 fruits per minute. It can be fed either manually and automatically, and the mode can be changed simply by using a switch on the control panel. The frame is made entirely of stainless steel and all components are isolated and protected by cases that safeguard operators.”<\/p>\n

Peeling adapts to all formats and degrees of ripeness and texture: the machine can in fact process very ripe fruits as well, aligning them on core-tubes without ruining the flesh.<\/p>\n

“This machine, whose first automatic specimen was sold in Italy, enabled the company to obtain extraordinary results as well as a considerable increase in yields. High-quality and sturdiness make it an ideal partner for processing, which can reach 23 hours a day.”<\/p>\n

The optimization of the stem and flower cutting system improves yields and the transmission system with toothed belts considerably reduces noise. All tools, blades and consumables can be adjusted and replaced easily.
