The new Greek strawberry brand Fruiton, managed by Arvanitakis Fruits, took its first step as an exhibitor at the Fruit Logistica 2025 International Fruit and Vegetable Trade Fair. “Our participation was a success, as the elegantly designed brand that adorned our company’s strawberries captured the interest of international visitors, attracting buyers and partners from around the world,” notes Mr. Nikos Arvanitakis, an executive of the company.<\/p>\n

“Fruit Logistica 2025 was a unique opportunity for networking and showcasing Fruiton to a broad professional audience. Through targeted meetings and a strong presence, our team managed to highlight the superior quality and exceptional taste of Fruiton, thus strengthening the position of Greek strawberries in international markets. The response we received reinforces the strategy we have set for further developing the brand, making it a benchmark in the global strawberry market. As the Greek exporter explains, the brand’s name Fruiton is derived from the ancient Greek word for fruit (“\u03c6\u03c1\u03bf\u03cd\u03c4\u03bf\u03bd”), symbolizing the bounty and natural harvest of the land: “This name reflects our deep connection with nature, our respect for the traditional values of Greek agriculture, and our commitment to providing fresh, high-quality fruits. All our strawberries are grown with great care in greenhouses, which ensure ideal conditions for their growth, regardless of the weather outside. Our greenhouses are equipped with modern systems that help maintain the correct temperature and humidity, guaranteeing the best possible quality for your fruit. Within this controlled environment, our strawberries grow naturally, without the need for chemicals.”<\/p>\n

The first major wave of Greek strawberries arrives in late February<\/strong>
\nRegarding current market developments, Mr. Arvanitakis observes that European supplies of Egyptian strawberries have already declined. “We are not concerned about Egyptian supplies. Their production schedule differs from ours. However, so far, Greek strawberries have been slow to reach their full potential due to planting phase issues and prolonged cold weather. As a result, turnover has also been lower than expected.”<\/p>\n

“As of the second week of February, producer prices range between \u20ac3,80 and \u20ac4,00 per kilo. I believe the first major wave of Greek strawberries will arrive by late February. However, I cannot predict price trends. What matters most for us is how Greek and Spanish strawberries will align in the market,” concludes the Greek entrepreneur.<\/p>\n
