They concluded with the final response from the\u00a0Phytosanitary Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Vietnam (PPD) on 13 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The PPD confirmed that all the phytosanitary measures proposed following an on-site inspection in November were accepted and the opening of the Vietnamese market for Greek kiwifruit was approved.<\/p>\n<p>Access to Vietnam was approved for all cultivated varieties of kiwifruit in Greece, both\u00a0green-fleshed and yellow-fleshed. Consignments to be exported must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate and subject to the approved cold treatment process either before the consignment is loaded (pre-shipment) or during transit (in-transit).\u00a0Exports and the issuance of an official phytosanitary certificate will be permitted from 1 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Konstantinos Tsiaras, Greek minister of rural development and food,\u00a0said the milestone represented the government\u2019s commitment to opening new markets for Greek products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe opening of the Vietnamese market for Greek kiwi is the result of a systematic and multi-year effort by the phytosanitary services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, in close cooperation with the country\u2019s production and export bodies.
