With just a few hours to go before it closes, the trade fair \u2013 organised by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX<\/b>\u2013 managed to attract more than 121,000 professionals from over 150 countries<\/b>, a record figure<\/b> that reflects its ability to draw a large audience. It is also worth noting that, on its second day, <\/b>Fruit Attraction recorded the highest number of visitors of any trade fair ever held at IFEMA MADRID, with over 55,200 attendees <\/b>\u2013 a milestone that confirms the event\u2019s extraordinary growth and international leadership.<\/p>\n

According to estimates<\/b> for this year\u2019s event, Fruit Attraction will have gathered together 2,500 exhibiting companies from 78 countries,<\/b> occupying 162,000 m\u00b2 of exhibition space<\/b>. These figures <\/b>have a direct impact on the economy of the Madrid region, at the same time as consolidating its leadership and confirming Madrid\u2019s growing importance as the hub of the fruit and vegetable business<\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Of the total of 2,500 exhibitors, domestic exhibitors accounted for 51% of the fair<\/b>. The presence of all the autonomous fruit and vegetable producing regions<\/b> reflects Spain\u2019s strength as a world leader in the fruit and vegetable market<\/b> and confirms the importance of Fruit Attraction as a leading platform for showcasing<\/b> the country\u2019s production and export capacity<\/b> on the international stage.<\/p>\n

Fruit and vegetables constitute the leading industry of Spanish agriculture<\/b>, with a value in excess of 21.9 billion euros in 2025<\/b>, representing 60% of Final Plant Production and 32% of Final Agricultural Production, according to data up to March 2026 from the Sub-Directorate-General for Statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. With an annual output of around 24.64 million tonnes<\/b>, of which nearly 60% is destined for export<\/b>, Spain remains the European leader in fruit and vegetable production and exports<\/b>.
