Raul Calleja, the director of Fruit Attraction, said that the applications to participate as an exhibitor in the next edition of the fair, which will be held in person from October 5 to 7, were being conducted at a good pace.
Calleja said they were processing requests to participate from production companies, institutions, associations, autonomous communities, international groups, the service sector, and the auxiliary industry, which have expressed interest in the face-to-face meeting.
The registration period began on March 17 and will run until April 28, when the First priority deadline will conclude. The space selection meetings will be held online in May and, subsequently, the Online Participation Request will continue to be active.
Raul Calleja also spoke about the extensive protocol designed by Ifema to guarantee the safe environment of the next face-to-face edition. The venue gathers all the necessary measures to organize the flow of attendees and their mobility, establish capacity controls, and interpersonal distances. They have eliminated direct contact by implementing digital registration, recording people’s body temperature, widening their corridors, and incorporating the latest technologies to count attendees and, most importantly, to renew the air in the pavilions, among other innovations in this area.
The director of Fepex, Jose Maria Pozancos, stressed that, according to current forecasts, the health scenario will be much better by October so it will be a favorable moment to hold the 13th edition of the Fruit Attraction in person.
The Fruit Attraction LIVEConnect platform will be developed in parallel to the physical meeting. This digital tool, which was launched last year given the impossibility of celebrating the event in person due to COVID-19, enhances and complements the face-to-face event. As a result, Fruit Attraction will be much more than the face-to-face sectoral reunion: the fair presents a new hybrid value proposition that uses technology to enhance the effectiveness of the traditional fair.
